METHODOLOGY
Our progressive, task-based curriculum promotes methodological innovations and new approaches to designing teaching programs, notably the development of a communicative approach. Students actively engage in exercises that highlight real-life scenarios over outdated practices of repetition and memorization.
Course levels are structured according to the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (CEFR) and classifies language proficiency with three broad “threshold levels” of competency: Basic User, Independent User and Proficient User. These descriptors specify progressive mastery of each skill, which is graded on a six-level scale (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). Additional subdivisions may be added according to the needs of the institution. At Rudaki, each level spans two sessions of coursework (i.e. A1.1 and A1.2) for which, after successful completion, the student may seek official certification.
By the end of the course, THE STUDENT will:
Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of concrete needs.
Be able to introduce themselves and others
To ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have.
Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
