With our forthcoming textbook series publication (Greater Khorasan Press, 2025), all lesson materials will be distributed digitally for free via Google Classrooms.
ELIGIBILITY
At the A1.1 Beginners level, anyone may register as there are no academic restrictions nor prior language knowledge required. For all subsequent levels (A1.2-B1.1), a brief language proficiency interview will be conducted by instructors prior to class.
ENROLLMENT
Following the ticket purchasing prompts on Eventbrite, enrollment is a simple process. Once your order is confirmed, you will be automatically sent a "Student Application Form" which requests basic personal information, education and language background, course selection as well as short essay responses regarding your interest in this field and region. You will then be added to our Google Classroom where we list the Zoom meeting information and post weekly materials, assignments and homework.
Your registration is complete only after submitting the "Student Application Form" provided to you with your ticket confirmation email.
CLASS SIZE
In order to offer the most affordable group language courses, a minimum of 3 students must be registered for each group class or is subject to cancellation. Attendance will be capped at 12 students after which supplemental sections will be added accordingly.
Private 1on1 classes are also available on topics including Language, Poetry and Literature are also readily available. Please contact info@rudakiacademy.com for more info.
METHODOLOGY
Our progressive, task-based curriculum promotes numerous innovations and approaches in language acquisition. Our methodology especially emphasizes the development of a communicative approach. Students actively engage in exercises that highlight real-life scenarios over outdated memorization drills.
Course levels are structured according to the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (CEFR) which classifies language proficiency with three broad “threshold levels” of competency: Basic, Independent, and Proficient . These descriptors specify progressive mastery of each skill, which is graded on a six-level scale (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). Additional subdivisions may be added according to the institutional needs.
At Rudaki, each level spans two sessions of coursework i.e. A1.1 and A1.2, which after successful completion, the student may seek official A1 certification, and so forth.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successfully completing any of the 6 proficiency levels from A1 to C2, students may obtain official CEFR certification through the University of Ankara.
ATTENDANCE
As the pace of any intensive language program is quite substantial by design, consistently solid group attendance is critical to ensuring every student progresses in unison. Multiple absences typically bottleneck the collective group’s rate of progress, as much class time is dedicated to reviewing previous lessons instead of advancing onto new topics. In order to ensure the group does not fall behind, we strictly enforce an 80% attendance policy. In a standard group class that meets 16 times per session, a student may miss up to 3 classes whereafter any additional unexcused absence may result in the student being requested to leave and restart the course again the following session.
REFUND POLICY
In accordance with Eventbrite refund policy, we offer ticket refunds up to the start of the event. Petition for student credit to be used for a future event may be sent but is subject to approval on a case-by-case basis.
If registration fails to meet the minimum 3 students per class, notification will be given up to 72 hours with options to switch class time or be offered refund.
